Gift box of character

Your mark, set in historic letterpress type.
An analog identity, made by hand — for events, brand activation, creator gifting.

Every brand is a word before it's a logo: che tipo! sets your name, your claim, your mark in authentic letterpress type.

Every gift box starts from a need — identity, communication, creative use: it begins with a concept, then format, content and materials are decided together.

For those who live in the digital world, a mark that becomes physical. For those with products worth telling — wine, food, fashion — a creative kit to match.

The result is the meeting point between a brand's essence and type from the 1960s: your identity, cast in a form from another era.

Got an event coming up? A launch? A community to surprise? Even if the idea is still vague, now is the right time to get in touch.

che tipo! powered by Hostinger

From the 1966 type foundry to the SXSW stage in Austin

che tipo!'s first gift box was born with Hostinger, on the occasion of the Hostinger Connect events — an international partner community event where the company meets the creators who collaborate with the brand from every corner of the world.

We called the concept AltText: analog identity for a digital creator. Your name, your mark, set in historic movable type. An analog object for those who live in the digital world.

For the occasion, che tipo!'s classic round tin evolved into a rectangular, layered gift box: each creator's name set in Linea Nera type (Milan, 1966–69), turned into a stamp; below, a card with the kit contents, instructions and space to "print" by hand; at the bottom, two Tsukineko VersaColor inks, a magic sponge and cleaner. A unique box to keep, use, display.

Milan > Catania > Austin!

In Catania, on March 4th 2026, che tipo! was there to hand-deliver the gift boxes and present the project in person to the Europe/LATAM creators: Romuald Fons, Niklas Steenfatt, Julian Ivanov, Torben Platzer, Dr. Firas, Renaud Varoqueaux, Julien Morthier, Julien Dumas, Luis R. Silva, Andres Garza, Markethax, Rubén Gallardo, Andrea Ciraolo and X2Marco.

Then, AltText flew to the United States for SXSW (South by Southwest) in Austin, Texas. In a world dominated by the digital, lead type gave physical and tactile weight to the identity of top American creators: Wes McDowell, Ferdy, Nate Herk, Santrel Media, Create a Pro Website, Charlie Chang, We are No Code, Stacy LA, Creative Hive, Dreams of Code, Journey with the Hintons, Roberto Blake, Tech with Tim, David Ondrej and My Wife Quit Her Job.
